Large diameter rope (3/4 inch as defined in the description of the mat) leaves large holes in the mat where a toe can get caught causing a tripping hazard. I find the mat not as safe as I would like because with the large vacancies from the large diameter rope, the mat does not lie flat. Makers have been very cooperative in facilitating a return. Mat arrived on time. This may be exactly the right mat for someone else.
